Norman Williamson will sit out the next couple of days after damaging his wrist ligaments at Leopardstown.

Williamson rode 11-8 favourite Ned Kelly to win yesterday's AIG Europe Champion Hurdle but gave up his remaining mounts after injuring himself in a fall in the previous race.

Williamson's agent, Dave Roberts, confirmed he will miss his four rides at Kempton today but expects his lay-off to be relatively short.

He said: "He's having a couple of days off because he's a bit sore but he should be back on Wednesday."
