The number of patients affected by the winter vomiting virus in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital is continuing to hover around 80, with new cases replacing those recovering from the short-term illness.
A spokesman said there were nine suspected new cases on Saturday and it is understood that this pattern was repeated yesterday.
There has been little or no change either at St James's Hospital, where about 30 patients are believed to be affected, or at St Vincent's, where the number is in single figures.
However, a spokeswoman for the Mater Hospital said the virus was being "contained" there, with no new infections over the weekend to add to the single case discovered on Friday.
