WINCHESTER - The prosecution in the soccer match-rigging trial have been duped by their key witness, Mr Christopher Vincent, and dazzled by money, the jury was told yesterday.
The claim was made by Mr Jerome Lynch, counsel for one of the defendants, the Malaysian business man, Mr Heng Suan Lim, in his closing speech.
Mr Lim, along with footballers Bruce Grobbelaar, Hans Segers and John Fashanu, deny trying to fix Premier League games for the benefit of a Far Eastern betting syndicate.
