Dublin gardaí have called for witnesses after the victim of an assault in the Kilbarrack area early on Monday died in hospital last night.
The man (43), who has not been named and was from Coolock, was found by gardaí close to the Greendale Shopping Centre in Killbarrack. He suffered a heart attack during the assault.
Gardaí in Raheny are appealing for witnesses to the assault, which happened at about 1.35 a.m. on Monday morning, to contact them on 01-6664300 or the Garda Confidential Number 1800-666111.
A post-mortem on the victim is expected to be carried out this afternoon.
