Gardai at Mayfield in Cork city have appealed to the public for witnesses to a shooting which occurred in the early hours of Christmas Day when two men who burst into a house with shotguns and injured a man.
Two shotgun blasts grazed the man, described as being in his early 40s. He was taken to Cork University hospital, but his injuries were said to be slight, and he was later discharged.
