Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal crash on the main Cork-Mallow road in which two men died yesterday.
The crash occurred at 9.50 a.m. at Ballygibbon when a car travelling towards Cork collided with a lorry travelling towards Mallow. The scene of the crash was about six miles from Cork city.
The identities of the dead men, both in their late twenties and with addresses in Co Clare and Co Limerick, have not been released.
Gardaí spoke to people at the scene yesterday and are anxious to speak to other drivers on that road at the time of the crash.
