Woman (67) hurt in Dublin robbery

A woman (67) is recovering in hospital after she was dragged to the ground during a robbery on Wednesday evening.

A woman (67) is recovering in hospital after she was dragged to the ground during a robbery on Wednesday evening.

The incident happened at about 0.05pm when the woman and her husband were returning to their car on Setanta Place.

A man approached from South Frederick Street and pulled the handbag from the woman's shoulder, dragging her to the ground as he did so. The attacker ran off in the direction of Nassau Street.

The woman was taken to hospital where she is still undergoing treatment.

The suspect is described in his late teens or early 20s. He is believed to be between 1.65m and 1.73m (5ft 5in and 5ft 8in) tall and was wearing dark clothes and white trainers.
