An American woman lawyer wanted in Connecticut for the murder of her brother-in-law is facing a further two months in custody until her extradition hearing.

Ms Beth-Anne Carpenter (34) with an address at Rock Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin, is accused of capital murder, felony murder and conspiracy to murder Mr Anson Clinton, who was shot dead in Hartford, Connecticut, in March 1994.

Defence solicitor Mr Bobby Eagar said witnesses would have to be brought from the US. Judge Terence Finn set a provisional hearing date for February 9th and further remanded Ms Carpenter in custody.
