A 25-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to killing a man in Cork in 2007.
Amanda McNab, a British national with an address in Mullinagleamig, Kerry, was before court this morning, charged with unlawfully killing Gary Bull on or about September 23rd, 2007 in Shanlaragh, Dunmanway.
Ms McNab wore a black trouser suit and white shirt during her arraignment at the Central Criminal Court.
When the charge was put to her, she replied: "Guilty to manslaughter".
This plea was accepted by the prosecution and her case was adjourned to Friday morning in Cork.
Mr Bull's body was found in a slurry pit at a farm in Shanlaragh on October 10th, 2007. A postmortem by Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster revealed that he had died from severe head injuries consistent with being struck with a blunt instrument.
A native of Hertfordshire, Mr Bull had been living in a mobile home in Kilmichael, west Cork, between Dunmanway and Macroom, having come to live among the 200-strong new-age traveller community in the nearby Coole Mountain in about 2004.
