London - A 29-year-old single mother who had sex on "numerous occasions" with a 15-year-old schoolboy escaped jail when she appeared for sentencing in court yesterday.
Janice Harding, was convicted by a jury on July 23rd on two counts of indecent assault on the youngster.
During a trial at Truro Crown Court, the prosecution said mother-of-three Harding had a "torrid affair" with the boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - which started before his 16th birthday and went on afterwards.
He ordered Harding, who had no previous convictions, to sign on to the Sex Offenders' Register for five years, saying that this would act as a deterrent.

He also gave her a three-year Community Rehabilitation Order.
