A woman in her 70s who was hit by a Garda patrol car in Dublin on Sunday remains in a "critical but stable" condition, Beaumont Hospital said today.
The woman was hit by the patrol car - which reportedly had its siren on - on a bend outside the Vergemount hospital, Clonskeagh, shortly before 4pm.
Witnesses said the woman was crossing the road when she was struck by the car and was thrown through a bus shelter. The Garda car then collided with the bus shelter, pulling the roof down.
The Garda car was occupied by two female gardaí at the time of the crash.
