A woman in her 60s died this evening when the car in which she was a front seat passenger crashed in Templemartin, Co Kilkenny.
Another woman, the driver of the car and the only other occupant, was injured. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The crash happened at about 6.40pm.
The link road from the Dunbell interchange onto the M9 is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by garda forensic collision investigators. Diversions are in place.
