British police have arrested a woman (26) this morning on suspicion of the murder of three patients at a hospital in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
The woman, reported to be a hospital nurse by the BBC, has been detained following a series of suspicious deaths at Stepping Hill hospital in the past month.
A woman (44) and two men aged 84 and 71 - named as Tracey Arden, George Keep and Arnold Lancaster - are believed to have died because of contaminated saline solution.
Police said hospital staff contacted them earlier this month after discovering that the solution had been tampered with, resulting in a high number of patients having low blood sugar levels.
