A woman killed in a three-vehicle crash at 3.45 p.m. on Friday has been named as Ms Yvonne McCarthy. The accident happened at Rathduff on the Cork-Mallow road when she and her son were travelling home from Maynooth to Douglas, Cork. The boy, aged six, was stable at Cork University Hospital yesterday.
