A woman pedestrian was killed early yesterday when she was struck by a vehicle in Co Wexford. She was named as Ms Catherine Bates, of Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford. The accident happened at 4.15 a.m. as she was walking at Killag, near Duncormick.
A man killed in an accident at Ballinabarney, Rathnew, Co Wicklow, on Friday has been named as Mr Michael Cunningham (22), of Cork Road, Waterford. The accident happened at 9.05 p.m. when two cars collided. Five people were injured.
Mr Basil Copeland (57), from Milltown Road, Donaghcloney, Co Down, was killed in a weekend road accident in Co Armagh. He was driving a car which collided with another vehicle at Magheralin, near Lurgan.
