A woman questioned by detectives investigating the murder of a man in a pub on Dublin's Francis Street on Sunday night has been released without charge.

She was arrested at a Dublin 8 address yesterday morning with a man who remains in custody. The man is still being held at Kevin Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

James Curran (42) was shot in the head at the Green Lizard at around 10.15pm. It is believed that the gunman was drinking in the pub for up to 90 minutes before the attack while 30 customers watched a karaoke session.

The gunman was described as being six feet tall, with grey hair and well dressed.

Gardaí hope that CCTV equipment inside and outside the pub may assist in identifying the killer, who left the scene on foot in the direction of Thomas Street immediately after the shooting.
