A young Northern Ireland woman had her face slashed by a broken bottle after being attacked by two other women, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said today.
The PSNI appealed for information into the attack on Carlisle Road in Derry in which a woman, believed to be in her early 20s, received slash wounds to her face and arm.
Police confirmed one woman has been arrested for questioning in connection with the attack, which took place as the young woman walked along Carlisle Road shortly before 3am.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have been driving along the road around the time of the attack to contact them at Strand Road police station.
