In the Circuit Civil Court in Cork, a 22 year old woman is suing for £30,000 the man who was convicted of sexually assaulting her 10 years ago. Yesterday an application made before Judge A.G. Murphy seeking to freeze the man's assets was granted.
The judge was told that the married man, who was given a five year suspended sentence in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in March 1991, had failed to pay £5,000 to the woman although he was ordered to do so by the judge by March 1994.
