A woman and three teenaged boys were arrested this morning by gardaí in Limerick in connection with the gangland murder of father-of-six, John Ryan two weeks ago.

The woman is in her early thirties. All four were arrested at their homes early this morning.

They are being detained for questioning last night under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

Mr Ryan (47) was shot dead by one of two men who approached on a motorcycle as he worked on a neighbour's front garden patio in Canon Breen Park, Thomondgate.
