Up to 300,000 passengers are expected to travel by rail over the Easter weekend, but due to Dart upgrade works there will be no services between Dublin and Belfast and other disruptions.

Iarnród Éireann advised yesterday that Dart and commuter services would disrupted from Good Friday until Easter Monday, with the main disruption to the Belfast Enterprise service on the Dublin/Belfast route due to Dart upgrade works.

There will be no rail services between Dublin and Belfast also because of work on a major NRA M1 underbridge north of Dundalk and Translink engineering works in Northern Ireland. The service will be replaced by bus from Friday to Monday inclusive. Special timetables will be available from stations along the route.

A €15 voucher will be given to each customer who purchases a ticket during these days and will be redeemable against a future cross-Border ticket purchase.
