Tennis:Top seed Caroline Wozniacki will face Arantxa Parra Santonja in the opening round at this year's Wimbledon. The world number one should have little trouble against the 29-year-old Spaniard, who is ranked 107th.
Defending champion Serena Williams, who has been seeded seventh after a year out with injury and illness, joins Wozniacki in the top half. She has been handed a much tougher first-round draw, though, against world No.56 Aravane Rezai.
Further down the line, a quarter-final meeting with French Open champion Li Na is a possibility.
Former champion Maria Sharapova is also in the top half. She opens against fellow Russian Anna Chakvetadze and could meet Wozniacki in the last eight.
Second seed Vera Zvonareva was arguably the biggest loser in the draw.
She will face American Alison Riske in round one but five-time winner Venus Williams, seeded only 23rd after her five-month spell out, is lurking in her section as a possible last-16 foe.
Victoria Azarenka, the fourth seed, will take on Magdalena Rybarikova first and is seeded to meet French Open runner-up Francesca Schiavone in the quarter-finals. However, Azarenka may first have to overcome the in-form Daniela Hantuchova in round three.
There was mixed news for the British contingent in the draw.
British No.1 Elena Baltacha will play a qualifier in the first round, while Heather Watson has been paired with Mathilde Johansson.
Former girls' champion Laura Robson, who parted with her coach ahead of the tournament, will tackle Angelique Kerber, while Katie O'Brien has a tough encounter against Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm.
There is an all-British tie as Naomi Broady and Anne Keothavong clash in the opening round. Keothavong beat Broady at the recent AEGON Trophy in Nottingham.
The other British main draw entrant, Emily Webley-Smith, takes on Klara Zakapalova.
