The Government has been accused of "indifference and ineptitude" on the BSE issue. Criticising the Minister for Agriculture, the Fianna Fail leader, Mr Ahern, said Mr Yates's "obsession with managing the message rather than addressing the issues has cost Irish agriculture dearly".
