Young Scientist exhibition announced today

Entries for this year’s Esat Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition are now being accepted

Entries for this year’s Esat Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition are now being accepted. The closing date for receipt of entry forms is October 5th, 2001.

The event, announced today, is the 37th successive Young Scientist exhibition and this year over 1,000 students from all over Ireland are expected to take part.

Some 30,000 people are likely to visit the exhibition when it opens to the public next January. Visitors may also attend demonstration workshops and seminars that will take place throughout the week.

Projects this year are grouped into three categories: the physical and chemical sciences with mathematics; the biological and ecological sciences; and the social and behavioural sciences. Students are also grouped into age categories.

The exhibition takes place in the main hall at the RDS, Ballsbridge, in Dublin from Tuesday 8th to Saturday 12th, January 2002.
