A 17-year-old youth was found with a gunshot wound in the York Road area of Belfast last night.
The youth, who was shot in the right knee, was taken to hospital after he was found in Beacon Street shortly before 9 p.m.
The RUC are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
