An article in last Monday’s edition, concerning the German occupation of the Channel Islands, said incorrectly that the islands form part of the United Kingdom.

Also in last Monday’s edition, in an article concerning decentralisation, it was stated that Tom Kitt and Charlie McCreevy sat at the cabinet table at the same time. Mr McCreevy ceased to be minister for finance and left the cabinet on September 29th, 2004, the date on which Mr Kitt took up office as chief whip and secured a place at the cabinet table.

An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning the pro-hunting group Rise! misdescribed the NARGC. It stands for National Association of Regional Game Councils.

It was stated in last Tuesday’s edition that Walloon is not a language. In fact, it is a language spoken by some persons in the Walloon region of Belgium.
