A map of the Balkans in last Saturday's editions incorrectly showed Vojvodina, a semi-autonomous region of former Yugoslavia that is within Serbia, as being part of Croatia. This was due to the absence on the map of the border between Vojvodina and Croatia, to the east of the Croatian city of Vukovar.

The caption to the picture entitled Wrecked, which illustrated the Christianity 2000 page on February 28th, indicated incorrectly that the painter, Sam Taylor-Wood, was male. On the same page, the biographical details of the author of the first article, Prof Michele Dillon, should have included the fact that her latest book is Catholic Identity: Balancing Reason, Faith, and Power (Cambridge University Press, 1999).

In the Sports Round-Up column in last Thursday's editions, the winner in the junior boys team event in the Irish Schools' Mountain-Running Championships was listed as Wilson's Hospital. This should have been Willow Park, Blackrock.

In a report on page 5 of yesterday's editions it was stated that suicide was illegal in this country. This is incorrect. Suicide was decriminalised here in 1993.
