An article in last Tuesday's editions said an EU survey showed Irish support for the euro was the highest in the EU at 63 per cent. In fact the survey indicated support for the Euro in Italy at 81 per cent and in Belgium at 76 per cent. The error occurred in the editing process.
An article and accompanying photo caption in last Monday's (July 24th) Out of the West column gave an incorrect surname for one of two Co Galway girls, and her brother, who participated on a recent Asgard 11 passage. The correct names are Sinead Nic Ghiolla Pharaic and her brother, Ronan Mac Ghiolla Pharaic, from Inis Mor on the Aran Islands.
Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
