Contrary to a statement in yesterday's On the margin... in the Business This Week supplement, Anthea Cudworth, daughter of John Cudworth, chairman of United Assurance Group plc, was not sacked as part of the shedding of 2,200 jobs but left the company in December, 1996, of her own free will to attend graduate business school in Australia.
