A report in the Out of the West column in yesterday's editions said that Ms Doreen O'Connor from Achill had been awarded the State's first distance arts degree. In fact, the Institute of Public Administration has been awarding distance arts degrees in Public Management for 10 years.

Ms O'Connor's degree was the first distance arts degree in the Humanities to be awarded by NUI.

A report in last Friday's Business This Week supplement quoted rates charged by Eircell and Esat Digifone for directory inquiry calls. The rates, including VAT, should have read 48p for Eircell and 42p for Esat Digifone.
