An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning proceedings before the Commercial Court, said that Mr Brian O’Donnell’s firm of solicitors is an adviser to Nama. Brian O’Donnell Partners is not contracted to advise Nama. In 2009 the firm was admitted to a panel from which firms may be appointed to provide advice, but Nama has not yet selected a firm from the panel.
The 90th anniversary of the Burning of Cork occurred overnight December 11th-12th, not on December 14th as stated in An Irishwoman’s Diary in last Monday’s edition. (January 17th). The error occurred in the editing process.
An article in last Monday’s edition, concerning soundings taken by Brian Cowen with Fianna Fáil TDs, said that a text had been sent out by Nick Reddy, private secretary in the Office of the Taoiseach. In fact, the text was sent out by the Fianna Fáil press office inviting TDs to make an appointment with Mr Cowen, if they wished, by contacting Mr Reddy.
