A report yesterday on the proposed children’s hospital, quoted Minister for Health James Reilly saying that it could be linked by bridge with the Rotunda maternity hospital.

This was incorrect. Dr Reilly was referring to a link between the childrens hospital and a new maternity hospital on the Mater site, which would replace the Rotunda.

Three items in the Style Small Print section yesterday were wrongly credited to Orla Kiely. They were designed by the ethical brand People Tree.

An article by Manchán Magan on Monday contained errors. The O’Rahilly’s children were not nephews of Sighle Humphreys but cousins, The O’Rahilly was Sighle’s uncle, not her brother. Sighle shot at Free State soldiers in 1922, not 1921 and she wrote on her cell wall: ‘Ní síocháin go saoirse’ and not ‘Ní suíocháin go saoirse’.
