An editorial in last Tuesday’s edition wrongly referred to the US senator George Mitchell as the Commissioner of Major League Baseball. Mr Mitchell was appointed to head an investigation into the use of steriod drugs by players.

An article in the edition of March 5th said Francis O’Neill, a chief of police in Chicago and compiler of Irish music, was born in Skibbereen. He was born in Tralibane near Bantry.
An article in the March 9th edition stated wrongly that the president of El Salvador, Mauricio Funes, had been a guerilla fighter. Mr Funes is a former journalist.
