An article in last Monday’s edition, concerning future primary school enrolment, stated that the highest primary enrolment increase is in Midleton/Carrigtwohill in east Co Cork, an increase of almost 240 per cent. The projected increase is actually 140 per cent.

In an article in the edition of March 26th last, concerning charges against persons for removing nets placed by Shell at Glengad beach, Co Mayo, it was stated that charges against nine members of the Erris community were struck out. In fact, five persons were charged. A sixth was prosecuted for not having car insurance. All the charges were struck out by Judge Gerard Haughton after the State indicated it would not be offering any evidence.

An article in last Saturday’s edition, concerning the purchase by the DDDA and others of the Irish Glass Bottle site, said that in October 2006 John Gormley (as Minister for the Environment) along with Brian Cowen consented to the DDDA’s request to borrow up to its statutory limit. The minister for the environment in 2006 was Dick Roche.
