A baby squirrel has formed a bond with a Cambridgeshire park ranger after mistaking him for his father. The grey squirrel, called Oakley Junior, was abandoned by his father and leapt into park ranger Mark Swift's arms for affection. "I put out my hand and he jumped on and looked adoringly at me. He has lost his family and thinks I'm his dad. He's more like a monkey than a squirrel and I'm convinced he thinks he's human," said Mr Swift.
Oakley has become one of the family at Central Park, in Peterborough, where he is given ice cream and cake in the tea room, but he recently found a new home nearby with a local woman. "I was gutted; he's adorable," said Mr Swift.

A kangaroo that went on the run from a wildlife park in Germany was finally lured back using sandwiches covered in his favourite peanut butter.
Toto went on a 15-day walkabout after escaping from Serengeti Park in Hanover, north Germany.

They smeared trees with a trail of peanut butter leading to a trap filled with his favourite sandwiches.
When caught, Toto was taken back to the wildlife park.
"He's lost a little weight and he's got a runny nose, but he seems to be quite healthy apart from that," said Hannover vet Frank Thiersen.
