Sir, - RTE Television is preparing a series of special documentaries to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the 1798 Rebellion in Ireland. They will be presented by Cathal O'Shannon and will be broadcast in the Spring of 1998.
We would be most grateful for any help your readers could give us with the project in terms of relevant paintings, drawings, ballad sheets, maps, artifacts, proclamations or other visual materials.
We are also trying to locate visual materials showing aspects of general life in Ireland during the period 1750-1810 (approximately). Naturally we would be very interested to know of any diaries, letters or other documents relating to the period.
