Sir, - Mr Conor Lenihan TD said on radio that he could not understand all the fuss about the GAA receiving £20 million from the Budget towards the redevelopment of Croke Park. After all, he said, no one complained when Wembley Stadium in London received £120 million from the British Government.
I think Mr Lenihan perhaps forgets that Wembley Stadium hosts a multitude of sports, including GAA matches. Croke Park caters for Gaelic-loving pop fans. - Yours, etc.,
