Sir, – At the risk of sounding churlish (or nerdy), it may be time to update your photo library. To accompany an article, you have an excellent photo by Eric Luke (“Travel statistics show dramatic recovery”, Business, May 31st) of an aircraft landing at Dublin with a number of others in the background.
None of the aircraft in the picture were in service with Irish airlines after 2006.
Indeed the last Aer Lingus Boeing 737 left the fleet in November 2005 – yet there are seven in the picture.
The main aircraft featured in the photo Boeing 737-200 Reg number EI-COB exited the Ryanair fleet in December 2005.
