Sir, – Patrick Freyne (June 21st) tells us Man vs Bee is Rowan Atkinson’s “first television starring role in decades”. Not so. In 2016-17 he made four Maigret episodes for ITV. Rupert Davies in the 1960s and Michael Gambon in the 1990s were hard acts to follow, but Atkinson established his own “Maigret” character very convincingly. – Yours, etc,
