Sir, – There are more streaming services to choose from and pay for than there are parallel universes in Star Trek. Patrick Freyne has visited whatever dimension is beaming the latest instalment of the show, which seems to be somewhere in our future, but in Star Trek’s past (“A new Trek on Paramount Plus is a return to the optimism of yore”, July 1st).
It sounds interesting, but how many more streaming services have to come online before people accept the incontrovertible evidence that the Ferengi have travelled back in time and taken over television? – Yours, etc,
