Sir, – Eamonn Magee wonders (Letters, July 12th) why Derry supporters were singing the song “I wish I was back home in Derry” in Croke Park last Saturday.
Irrespective of losing to an excellent Galway team, how about the ridiculous cost of overnight accommodation, food and drink in Dublin. Add in the diabolical parking and public transport provision and you can quickly see why we all wanted to return to our native county that gave Ireland two Nobel prize and a Eurovision winner! – Is mise,
