Sir, – “Road Safety Authority to cut 25 temporary driver testing jobs” (News, August 10th) left me perplexed. While letting testers go, the RSA is engaging in a campaign to hire 30 permanent staff. Why not give these people permanent status and just recruit five more testers? – Yours, etc,
