Sir, – Recently my 17-year-old niece, as she was showing me some photos and videos of a concert she had attended, happily informed me that she had approximately 17,000 similar items stored on her phone. Given that, in reality, this mostly redundant data is actually stored in energy-guzzling data centres, the question that has to be asked is, how green are our teenagers in reality?
