Sir, – There is a sign on the door of Permanent TSB at Baggot Street bridge in Dublin that says it now closes between 1pm and 2pm.
In an area that has a very large population and many offices, the best time for their customers to call into the bank would probably be at lunchtime. No doubt Covid-19 and staff shortages will be quoted as the reasons but the same could be said for restaurants and pubs, most of which in the area do open for lunch. – Yours, etc,
