Sir, – No one is denying that transport, energy, homes and businesses must reduce their contributions to climate change, hard though it will be for all of them.
But that is exactly the point; the dairy industry, as part of the agriculture industry, is an industry, and as such must make its contribution as well.
Agriculture has already received substantial derogations, now it is up to the industry to stop making further excuses and looking for special treatment and get on with carrying out what it has agreed to do. – Yours, etc,
