Sir, – I am very pleased that you printed the letter from Paul Lewis (October 27th). I do not cycle but as a walker I witness the constant excessive speeding of drivers speeding in built-up areas. No sign of a garda or speed camera.
We have to drag ourselves into the 21st century and follow other countries by installing speed cameras everywhere, not just motorways. And add noise detectors. Surely the way forward in road safety. – Yours, etc,
