Sir, – I thank and congratulate Michael Walker for his brilliantly evocative piece on Christmas Eve (“Special memories of Terry Hall’s pivotal role in fighting the good fight”, Sport, December 24th).
His tribute to the late Terry Hall of the Specials, his reminders of the links between football and music and his interweaving of his own youthful experiences growing up in a troubled Belfast made for a beautifully written sociological masterpiece. – Yours, etc,
