Sir, – Once again this year there were no trains, buses, or flights on Christmas Day. There were also no trains on St Stephen’s Day.
If the powers that be are serious about getting cars off the road, then major improvements to public transport will be required.
A good starting point would be to ensure that a skeleton service is maintained on major holidays. – Yours, etc,
