Sir, – I know news is scarce on the ground but do we really need a full page (December 26th) listing places to eat in “this tricky time between Christmas and New Year”?

I suppose next week you will have articles on New Year fitness programmes to shed the festive pounds.

Any sign of Easter eggs on the shelves yet? – Yours, etc,
