RTÉ mast points the way

Aerial ambition

Sir, – If Pat McGrath (Letters, January 13th) is so worried about the environmental impact of things such as the RTÉ mast, why on earth is he driving from Monkstown to work every day rather than taking public transport? – Yours, etc,

RORY J WHELAN,

Drogheda,

Sir, – Reading Pat McGrath’s description of the RTÉ mast as an ugly monstrosity, I was reminded of the many occasions in the early 1990s when passing it I’d tell my kids, “Oh look, we’re in Paris.” Even to this day, passing it they regularly say “Oh, look Dad, we’re in Paris.” – Yours, etc,
