Sir, – David Jacobs (Letters, January 25th) wonders if Ulster Bank knows that it is closing because it sent him a new credit card despite him having closed his account. Wait till he gets the next letter from Ulster Bank informing him, “In accordance with Government legislation, we are obliged to collect €30 [for issuing the new card] and this will appear on your next statement”. – Yours, etc,
